This is a section of the guide rope which was in use here at Lady Victoria
Colliery for 60 years, util 1958. Due to wear the outer wires are now flat
instead of round.

03/11/98 4 wire rope samples found on display in the Old Power House and 4 spare wire rope items listed as being in ‘PG V/C Exhib (Rope)’ but none matched the description of this item so one of the spare numbers was assigned; item numbered, removed from display and packaged.
